(21 Sep 2023) RESTRICTION SUMMARY: ASSOCIATED PRESS Las Vegas, Nevada – 20 September 2023 1. Various MGM exteriors STORYLINE: MGM Resorts brought to an end a 10-day computer shutdown prompted by efforts to shield from a cyberattack data including hotel reservations and credit card processing, the casino giant said Wednesday, as analysts and academics measured the effects of the event. Rival casino owner Caesars Entertainment also disclosed last week to federal regulators that it was hit by a cyberattack Sept. 7. It said that its casino and online operations were not disrupted but it could not guarantee that personal information about tens of millions of customers, including driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers of loyalty rewards members, had not been compromised. Caesars, based in Reno, is widely reported to have paid $15 million of a $30 million ransom sought by a group called Scattered Spider for a promise to secure the data. Details about the extent of the MGM breach were not immediately disclosed, including the kind of information that may have been compromised and how much it cost the company. Gregory Moody, professor and director of the cybersecurity program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pointed to quoted estimates that the computer shutdown cost the company up to $8 million per day, which could put the cumulative effect at $80 million. But Moody also noted that MGM Resorts reports annual revenues above $14 billion, which would mean it averages at least $270 million in revenues per week. The company reported Wednesday that systems handling resort services, dining, entertainment, pools and spas were operational and its website and app were taking dining and spa reservations while the company worked to restore hotel booking and loyalty reward functions. "MGM Resorts properties in Las Vegas and throughout the country are back to normal operations," spokesman Brian Ahern told The Associated Press. MGM also has properties in Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. FBI spokeswoman Sandra Breault in Las Vegas declined to comment and referred to a previous statement by the agency saying an investigation was ongoing. Experts said the attacks exposed critical cybersecurity weaknesses at MGM and Caesars and shattered an image of casino invulnerability. Caesars Entertainment is the largest casino owner in the world, with more than 65 million rewards members and properties in 18 states and Canada under the Caesars, Harrah’s, Horseshoe and Eldorado brands. It also has mobile and online operations and sports betting. MGM Resorts is the largest private employer in Nevada, operating tens of thousands of hotel rooms in Las Vegas at its flagship MGM Grand and properties including Bellagio, Aria, New York-New York and Mandalay Bay. It also operates resorts in China and Macau. It employees 75,000 people in the U.S. and abroad. Caesars stock traded Wednesday at $50.17 per share, up 36 cents for the day. MGM shares were at $38.77, down 43 cents. Both companies are expected to disclose effects of the attacks in quarterly reports next month to the Securities and Exchange Commission. The attack on MGM also has been attributed to Scattered Spider, a group of English-speakers also sometimes known as Øktapus operating under a Russia-based operation called ALPHV or BlackCat. Moody, at UNLV, said via email that the attacks showed that even for well-prepared or technically advanced companies, “it is not a matter of if you get attacked, but when you get attacked.” (AP video by Ty O'Neil) Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork Twitter: https://twitter.com/AP_Archive Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/APArchives Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/APNews/ You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/youtube/8c87777794744d68bcff28c4166cec28

Today we’re going to take a look at T-slot cover. T-slot cover is a great finishing touch to any project. It comes in a wide variety of colors, to allow your projects to really pop. It can also prevent anything from getting into the open T-slot. It’s available in both fractional and metric, and is compatible across a wide range of profile series. When it comes to installing the T-slot cover, that first thing you’ll want to do is decide which style is best for your project. We have our standard T-slot cover and we have economy T-slot cover that is a little bit lighter. Then we have a reduction T-slot cover. This style can also be flipped over and used to reduce the gab in the T-slot and hold your panels into place. And finally 80/20 now offers an aluminum T-slot cover, which is weather resistant, durable, and blends in great with the profile. No regardless of your choice, they all install the same way. So we’ve got our piece of T-slot cover cut to length, we’ll put it over the open T-slot and pop it right into place. Now if you ever want to replace it, or simply take it out, take a T-handle, or a screwdriver, put it in the open T-slot and lift up, and it’ll pop right out for you. Now one other style we want to talk about is our aluminum style. It installs the same way, except you may want to use a soft-faced mallet to pop it into place. One other thing with this T-slot cover, it it’s a little more rigid, so once you have it installed you want to be careful taking it out because you can bend it easily. Now hopefully you found this segment on T-slot cover helpful. For more information, please visit 8020.net and be sure to subscribe to future 80/20 videos. And as always, make it a great day!

Make sure to check weather and flash flood warnings for that area, but also for up canyon. Just because it's sunny where you are, it may be raining somewhere else. Flash floods are deadly. So are slot canyons. I hope you enjoyed this adventure! It means so much to me that you spent the time watching it. If you enjoyed this, please consider subscribing. I strive to bring relatively unknown, odd, unique, and special places to you each week from the American Southwest! --------------- 👍How to be a respectful visitor to these places👍 Native American groups still live in this area and beyond today. These places are still special and hold significance. 1️⃣Don't climb on walls or structures. Don't lean on or climb over them. Many places don't even need to be visited up close. View these places from a distance or with binoculars. 2️⃣Do not touch the rock art. Don't touch or create new rock art to preserve ancient stories. 3️⃣ Leave All Artifacts. Leave artifacts and structures undisturbed to maintain their historical significance. It is illegal and wrong to take artifacts. If you want something to take home, support local tribes by buying their handicrafts and jewelry. 4️⃣ Manage Waste Responsibly. Use waste bags; don't leave human or pet waste behind. Don't 'go' near cultural sites. 5️⃣ Camp With Care. Don't camp near historical sites. No fires near these areas, and ensure all waste is packed out. Don't make fires in caves or alcoves. Camp in designated spots only. When you leave, make sure to make the site cleaner and better than when you found it. Pick up extra trash you may see. 6️⃣ Control Your Pets. Don't let pets roam freely near archaeological areas to prevent destruction. Pets are not allowed in or near sites. 7️⃣ Preserve Fragile Areas. Don't disturb fossils and please protect delicate soil and plant life. 8️⃣ Follow Rules. Don't engage in illegal actions such as building cairns, or using climbing gear to access archaeological sites. 9️⃣ Obey Drone Rules and Laws. Numerous locations in the American Southwest and beyond, such as the Navajo Reservation, Wilderness Study Areas, and various restricted spaces, enforce strict drone usage prohibitions. It is crucial to not only honor the legacy of the people who once inhabited these areas but also show respect for the present-day residents and adhere to their local laws, customs and regulations. --------------- NOTE: I don't claim that I am the first person to "discover" these places. I just find things on Google Earth and want to go see what they are! I do not claim to be an expert on anthropology, geology, or archaeology. I say that my channel is about "amateur archaeology". I don't have a degree or formal training in archaeology. I am just a hiker who loves to explore and see new things especially the ancient history in the American Southwest. This is what my channel is about. I hope you stick around and explore with me! I do not give out locations to the places in my videos. I take seriously the responsibility to protect and respect these ancient places. If you do find/visit one of these locations, please visit respectfully. I try my best to hide noticeable landmarks, mountains, and canyons in my videos. -----🎵MUSIC🎵----- 🎵Track: "The Secret Sauce Is Sauce" Music provided by https://Slip.stream Free Download/Stream: https://get.slip.stream/mhNQq9 🎵Track: "If Its Not Me" Music provided by https://Slip.stream Free Download/Stream: https://get.slip.stream/dN47wB
