LOCATION Excalibur Hotel and Casino is right on The Strip in Las Vegas so it should only take you about 10-15 minutes in a cab to/from the airport. The highway is also right there so it is easy to get to places and to get home. It's located on the MGM side of the strip where there are about 7 casinos that all connect easily on that end. They even have a tram running from Mandalay Bay to Luxor to Excalibur. This makes it a good spot to stay to get used to all the walking you are about to do for the rest of your trip. SCENE When we walked in to our castle of a hotel, we were greeted by some of the guys from The Thunder From Down Under and I happily accepted some lucky beads. Dick's Last Resort is where most of the action happens here. They also have an arcade on a lower level. FOOD Excalibur had a medley of options in the food court on the upper level so that anyone will be able to find something to eat. They had TWO Starbucks which I loved because I feel like every time I went, there was never much of a line (unless it was the weekend). They have a food court with a lot of options for everyone so we were very excited to have that right upstairs (including a 24 hour spot) when we would get home. They also have Dairy Queen in the arcade which we often hit up for dessert. POOL They have four pools, buttttt one of them was closed every day I went. There is a limited number of seats so get there rather early if you want a chair. This is a very family oriented hotel but they do have an adults only option. Overall, Excalibur is one of the older casinos on The Strip, so if you go into it knowing that you get what you pay for, so to speak, you will have a great time. Destiny and Gregory are every wedding photographer dream client! Absolutely gorgeous people! Both beautiful and kind, they were pleasure to work with. The wedding took place at famous Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana Dominican Republic and couple of days after, we did the Trash the Dress photo shoot at nearby Macao Beach, amazing public beach couple of minutes driving from the hotel. We so are grateful that we had that extra time, more time to really get to know them. Since Destiny and Gregory wanted their wedding decor to be very simple, but still have a nice ambience to match tropical scenery. Table centerpieces had a little greenery to match the stationary of the menus. The bride made the Menus and Table numbers herself. That was the only DIY at this wedding. The wedding day started with bridal hair and make-up preparation at POSH Salon at the Hard Rock Hotel. Guys started their own fun in groom’s room. The ceremony took place at Harmonica Beach in front of La Isla restaurant in Hard Rock Punta Cana Hotel and the reception at Element Terrace. The absolute highlight of the day was the bride walking down the aisle seeing the groom. She told us later on: “I was hoping not to cry, but I don’t think that worked out in my favor.” As for the groom, Gregory, he told us that: “the most anticipated for me was the kiss, I was kind of nervous kissing in front of all those people.
