Soon after on July 6, a liquidation sale started. Hundreds flocked to the Taj to see what was left of the luxurious casino, at one point the highest grossing in AC. Over a month later I returned on 8/8/17 to see what was left. It was like a ghost town. Only a few people left. Slots removed and furniture from the rooms scattered in the lobby. But that isn't what I was here for. I was here for the Elevonic 401's. 10 of them in 1 bank with 5 others as service elevators. I met up with Mattyice0812 and together we filmed the elevators that traveled the 42 stories of the building. We discovered the glass elevator running and had a great time. The fate of the old Otis is uncertain. Hard Rock is planning to re-open the entire resort in 2018. What that means for the elevators, is unknown.
