For example, I always split 4's against a dealer 5 or 6. Some strategy charts say never to split 4's (I totally disagree). Every now and again I will deviate though, like maybe we will get a little crazy and split our 4's against a dealer 4. Also, please note, when I talk about the "correct" play, please note that I am looking at each hand as a whole in and of itself. I think, generally speaking, this is the mindset of most average basic strategy players. With that said, please note that there could be a "better" play based on card counts and/or shoe composition.
